Requesting PTO

We've switched to using an automated process via TimeBot on Slack for you to request paid time off. The request is sent privately to your managers for them to review. Once the review has been completed, you will instantly receive a notification of the decision. No more waiting or guesswork as to when your request has been reviewed!

Request PTO

You are able to request time off up to 12 months ahead.

You have two (2) ways to request time off:

  • In any channel or DM, start typing "/req" (without the quotation marks) – you should see "Request Time Off" pop up. Select that and a form will automatically show.
  • Alternatively, you can also go to Apps in your navigation (below DMs) and click on TimeBot. You will be provided with an option to Request Time off.

After triggering the request, a new window will pop up. This is where you can:

  • Specify the type of leave (Vacation, Sick Leave, etc.),
  • If you're unsure as to what type of PTO you should use, select "Other"
  • Note: If you select "Other" as your reason for PTO, it will allow you to add more details to your request!
  • Set the duration
  • Set the start/end date for a full day and custom hours for part of a day
  • After filling out the form, select Next and Confirm.
  • The bot will let you know that your request was successfully submitted.
  • Once your request is reviewed (whether accepted or rejected), you'll see a note from TimeBot on the Messages tab:
  • Your new leave request will also appear on the TimeBot app DM, under the My time offs section.
